| Taking proper care of your new piercing
is important to your health and the longevity of the piercing.
If you were pierced at Apogee and follow our recommended
aftercare, the risk of infection is next to nothing and
you will be surprised at how easily you can heal. We advise
following a mostly natural aftercare routine. If there are
any questions, feel free to call or stop by and talk to
your piercer. |

SOAP
Soap should be used to clean your piercing no more than
twice a day. We recommend to just use soap in the shower
as this helps to rinse off any excess residue that can
build up on the jewelry. Place a little bit of soap on
your fingertips, gently massage around the piercing, and
rinse well. You do not need to move the jewelry. Using
a basic anti-microbial soap such as Provon or Satin is
generally comfortable. If you need something a little
more gentle, Dr. Bronner's or Nature’s Gate will
suffice. |

There are no stupid
questions regarding your health. If you think that you
may need attention, once again: do not remove the jewelry.
This can cause problems for you. Call us or stop by for
us to take a look. |
