| Taking proper care of your new piercing
is important to your health and the longevity of the piercing.
If you were pierced at Apogee and follow our recommended
aftercare, the risk of infection is next to nothing and
you will be surprised at how easily you can heal. We advise
following a mostly natural aftercare routine. If there are
any questions, feel free to call or stop by and talk to
your piercer. |

SALT WATER SOAKS
Soaking your piercing twice a day is recommended for the
duration of the healing period. Mix 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
with 8 ounces distilled water in a cup. The water should
be warm but not hot enough to hurt yourself.
Completely submerge the piercing in the saline solution
for 5 to 10 minutes. This causes your body to naturally
flush out any lymph fluid that may be dried to the jewelry
along with any bacteria that may be trapped in the piercing.
Make sure to rinse off any discharge after soaking. |

There are no stupid
questions regarding your health. If you think that you
may need attention, once again: do not remove the jewelry.
This can cause problems for you. Call us or stop by for
us to take a look. |
